Afloat #2

Hurricane Harvey impacted us significantly along the Texas coast. Having been isolated for several days, we turned it into a fun camp-like experience, decorating our home and ceiling with flowers, all while pretending we were embarking on an adventure. Outside, a powerful storm was raging, yet we created joyful and hilarious memories that we will cherish forever. I can confidently say that the hurricane brought my family even closer together. This painting was created to honor the storm, celebrating how God guided us through it and the beauty found in every moment, if only we embrace it.

The painting is on a 30inx30in stretched canvas, featuring an acrylic underpainting, and finished with oil and encaustic.
